Red Team Thinking™ is not for every company. It requires you to challenge your assumptions, to consider alternative perspectives and to think differently about your business. It is about asking tough questions — and having the courage to listen to the answers. To help your organizations learn more about Red Team Thinking™ and find out if it is right for you, we offer a one-day workshop that will help you and your team understand the core concepts of this game-changing method and provide you with real, hands-on experience applying some of the most important red teaming tools to an actual strategy, plan or decision your business is grappling with right now. Not only will you come away with a better understanding of how Red Team Thinking™ works and how you might be able to make it part of your strategic planning and decision-making process, but also actionable insights that you can use today.
What we will cover: Because every company is different, every Red Team Thinking™ workshop is, too. Each workshop begins with a brief history of red teaming, then moves on to the science and psychology behind this revolutionary approach. You will learn about the cognitive biases that cloud our individual thinking and the organizational threats to sound decision making. More importantly, you will learn how Red Team Thinking™ can overcome them and help you and your company plan better and make better decisions. We will introduce you to some of the core red teaming tools, such as Key Assumptions Check, Four Ways of Seeing, Pre-Mortem Analysis and Devil’s Advocacy, and lead your team through an actual analysis of your strategy or plan using these powerful techniques.
What you will gain: You and your team will walk away with a solid understanding of Red Team Thinking™, familiarity with some of its core tools and techniques and actionable insights you can use to improve your strategy or plan. More importantly, you will have the information you need to decide whether Red Team Thinking™ is right for your organization, and if so, how to make it part of your strategic planning process.
Methodology: All of our workshops are team-taught by an experienced business strategist and a veteran military red team leader. While we can tailor the program to meet the specific needs of your organization, our workshops typically consist of two, three-hour sessions with a lunch break in between. We can accommodate up to 30 participants in each workshop.
